Christmas in Davidson, one of the Town of Davidson’s signature events, will return this year on November 30, December 1, and 2, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. nightly. The official opening ceremonies begin with the arrival of Santa Claus and tree lighting ceremony on the Town Green, Thursday, November 30 at 6:00 p.m. Guests can expect to enjoy a Holiday light show, roving entertainment, live nativity scene, bubble snowflakes, unique gifts from the artisan village, a children’s craft area and more!
Road Closures & Transportation Information: Nightly at 5:00 p.m.
Main Street from Concord Road to Jackson Street will be closed to traffic and blocked off to allow the community to leisurely stroll throughout Town, enjoying the festivities and making stops at local specialty shops as well as enjoying a wide variety of food from Davidson’s restaurants.
Accessible parking will be available in the Davidson Public Library parking lot along Lorimer Road with an attendant present to allow drivers access.

The Doggie Fashion Show will take place on Friday, December 1, at 7:00 p.m. and the Ugly Holiday Sweater Contest will take place on Saturday, December 2, at 7:00 p.m. Both events are held on the stage of the Davidson Public Library located at 119 South Main St. Residents wanting to participate in the Doggie Fashion show can register by clicking here. No registration is required for the Ugly Holiday Sweater contest– simply show up in your festive sweater!
