Davidson Veterans Monument

The Project

The Davidson Veterans Committee along with the Davidson Public Art Commission and the Town of Davidson announce the creation of the Davidson Veterans Monument. In September 2022, the Davidson Board of Commissioners convened a steering committee to recommend a site location, monument attributes and fundraising strategy for the project. The committee has selected the area in front of the Davidson Post Office for the monument’s placement. The monument seeks to commemorate all who have served honorably in the military to defend our nation and our way of life.

The Town of Davidson, through the Davidson Public Art Commission, has donated $25,000 toward the project as well as the land, staff support and ongoing maintenance of the monument. The Davidson Veterans Committee has established a fundraising goal of $250,000 for the monument and landscaping of the surrounding area with a project completion date of November 11, 2024.
