ReadDavidson, a partnership between the Town of Davidson, the Davidson Public Library, Main Street Books, and local avid readers, invites the community to register now for its first three virtual 2021 events. On March 2, 16, and April 1 at 7:00 p.m., there will be panel discussions of sequential portions of the 2021 book: Caste: The Origins of Our Discontent by Isabel Wilkerson. Readers can read along in advance as “Davidson Discusses” portions of the book on these dates, creating one continuous conversation. Those interested are encouraged to participate in all three sessions! Using the links below, register for individual sessions:

In addition, the committee is happy to announce that author talk dates have been confirmed for the other three ReadDavidson 2021 selections as follows:

“After months of planning what ReadDavidson could look like for 2021, the committee is excited to finally be kicking off two months of book events, beginning with the Davidson Discusses virtual meetings,” says committee member and Davidson Communications Assistant Wendy Matthews. “We hope that many readers from Davidson are as ready as we are to engage with these timely book selections.”
Don’t forget that to ensure that everyone in our community can be involved in the conversation, ReadDavidson has a Book Grant Program to provide any and all titles for free to any interested reader. To sign up, visit www.townofdavidson.org/dpr.
