April is for Arts- CANCELED
|April is for Arts, a celebration of art and culture in North Mecklenburg, features numerous events throughout the month of April in Davidson, Cornelius, and Huntersville.
This includes the Gallery Crawl and Art on the Green, North Mecklenburg’s largest annual art festival, a multi-artist event held on the Davidson Village Green including artist’s exhibits, demonstrations, food and live music.

April is for Arts is a month-long celebration of the arts in Davidson. We have selected the weekend of April 24-26, 2020 to focus on the arts in town and have many exciting events planned for citizens and visitors.
Citizens Invited to Celebrate April is for Arts:
Join Us April 24-26, 2020
• Gallery Crawl: Friday, April 24 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m.
• Art on the Green Festival: Saturday, April 25 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Sunday, April 26 from noon until 4:00 p.m.
• Concert on the Green: Sunday, April 26 at 6:00 p.m. featuring the Davidson College Jazz Ensemble
The April is for Arts Gallery Crawl takes place on Friday, April 24 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Our Main Street and South Main Street businesses and sidewalks will be transformed into lively art galleries. Homewood Suites at the Circles @ 30 will also showcase many artists.
Trolleys will transport “crawlers” from our neighborhoods (Davidson Landing/North Harbor area, St. Alban’s, McConnell, and River Run) to view the various exhibits. Please visit www.townofdavidson.org/April for a map of all participating locations and trolley stops.
Art on the Green is Davidson’s largest annual arts festival, bringing thousands of citizens and visitors to Davidson’s Main Street and town green on Saturday, April 25 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Sunday, April 26 from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. This juried art show spotlights many of the region’s finest artists in a weekend-long celebration. Mark it on your calendar! Over 50 artists from the Lake Norman region, North Carolina, Virginia, Massachusetts, and Maine will be joining us to showcase and sell their creations in all types of media: sculpture, watercolor, photography, wood, glass, ceramics, etc. Patrons can stroll around the green to enjoy amazing art from a wide variety of talented regional artists, listen to live music, and enjoy local cuisine.
Sunday, April 26 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. is the return of our popular Concerts on the Green series. The Davidson College Jazz Ensemble will kick off the concert season with a lively performance on the library stage for all to enjoy. Please bring your own picnic to enjoy on the town green or purchase food from our local restaurants that will be open that evening.
